Buzzer

me&u has the ability to enable a buzzer system. This essentially is a feature that venues can use to get the customers to pick up their food rather than deliver it to the table. Buzzer can enable in a whole venue or only in certain sections. For example, the bistro has food & drinks delivered to the table and the outdoor section has orders picked up at the kitchen.

Once enabled by me&u, to activate buzzer, go to Venue Manager, by clicking Launch Venue Manager in Operator Potal. You will notice a new tab called Bump, however there is one more step before we can see orders come into this section.

Going to the Sections tab, select which sections we want to use for buzzer. As you can see in the middle of the screen you have an option for delivery or pick up.

If we click on it a pop up will appear asking what style of service you’d like in that section - select pick up to activate buzzer for this section.

Go to the Buzzer Tab to view orders. This will need to be on a tablet in or near the kitchen so you can let the customers know when to pick up their food.

When a customer puts through an order, at check out, they will see a notification letting them know that an SMS will be sent to collect their food and drinks will be delivered to the table.

The bump screen will show the order. This will also print to the kitchen so they can start to prepare it.

Once the kitchen has prepared the dishes they can then click Ready. This will do two things. Firstly, it will send a SMS to the customer to let them know to collect the order. It will also change the order to blue and read Collected. This is then pressed when the customer has received their meals.

The order will then move closed history.
